Safety Warning: Read the operator's manual thoroughly. Never refuel while the engine is running or hot.
1. Pre-Start Checks:
Check engine oil level and compressor oil level via the dipsticks.
Inspect the fuel level; fill with clean diesel if necessary.
Check the radiator coolant level.
Inspect all belts for tension and wear.
Open the drain valve on the air receiver tank to release any condensate.
2. Starting the Engine:
Ensure the air discharge valve is closed.
Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position to activate the glow plugs (wait for the indicator light to go out).
Turn the key to "START". Release the key once the engine fires.
Allow the engine to idle for 3-5 minutes to warm up and build oil pressure.
3. Loading Operation:
Once the engine is warm, open the air discharge valve slowly to load the compressor.
Monitor the control panel. The pressure should build up to 8 Bar (or the set point) and the engine should govern down to the correct RPM.
Do not exceed the maximum working pressure.
4. Stopping the Engine:
Crucial Step: Close the air discharge valve first to unload the compressor.
Let the engine idle for 2-3 minutes to cool down (prevents heat soak).
Turn the ignition key to "OFF" and remove the key.
Perform a visual inspection for any leaks or damage.
5. Maintenance Reminders:
Replace engine oil and compressor oil after the first 50 hours (Run-in period).
Change oil and filters regularly thereafter (typically every 250-500 hours depending on dust conditions).
Clean the radiator and air filter cores frequently.
